Thrive Causemetics Donates $500,000 to Los Angeles Wildfire Relief

A community donation day was held on January 11, with 100% of profits benefiting the critical cause.

Thrive Causemetics will donate a half-million dollars to the Los Angeles Wildfire Relief.

The monetary gift was the result of a community donation day held with affiliate Bigger Than Beauty Skincare on January 11, which vowed to donate 100% of profits to the cause.

The brand will donate $250,000 to the American Red Cross, LA Division; Pasadena Humane Animal Wellness Fund; Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation; and World Central Kitchen.

The other $250,000 will be donated to support long-term recovery efforts as the brand is actively seeking outstanding small businesses and students most affected by the fires, as well as other deserving grassroots organizations.

“We are humbled and grateful that our customers helped us achieve our largest donation day in the 10-year history of our organization to help rebuild the city that we call home,” said Karisssa Bodnar, Thrive Causemetics founder and CEO. “One thing we can always count on in times of crisis is that our community will show up and we know that these donations will make an immediate and infinite impact on those impacted by the wildfires.”

The company has a history of supporting wildfire relief efforts, including a donation of $250,000 in 2018 to support organizations such as the American Red Cross LA, LAFD Foundation and others in Northern and Southern California. Thrive Causemetics and Bigger Than Beauty Skincare will continue to donate to relief efforts and charities affecting its community as it has for the past 10 years with over $150 million to over 600 charities.
